Design Basics

When I design a website I consider the main messages of the

website and the most effective way to communicate them. With

these in mind, I aim to create a site which is clear, simple and enjoyable.

This will involve an ergonomic design, considered use of colour

and graphics, and a few interactive elements such as web-links.

There will be stages of review, feedback and fine-tuning.

There are several aspects to desiging a full and finished website. Click the underlined links to read more about any stage of the process -

You don't have to be an expert in design, advertising or computing for me to create a website for you. I will take your through the process. The most time-consuming part on your part will probably be writing text.

The Site List page enables you to explore some of the sites I have made, with a view to considering how you might like yours to be designed.

The Graphics page enables you to consider some of the design elements you may like for your site. Alternatively I can use my experience to choose these myself.

The Features page lists some extra features that a site may have. Some of these might be appropriate for your business or group.
